Job DescriptionnStephane Cote Law is looking to grow our practice by adding a junior legal assistant! We are looking for a Junior Law Clerk.nnWe are located in Orleans, so bilingualism is an asset.nnThis position is a temporary (1 year) full-time position with the possibility of becoming permanent.nnResponsibilities:nn- Opening files and inputting transaction data in Unity (formerly The Conveyancer);nn- Contacting clients and setting up signing appointments;nn- Requesting Status Certificate packages and following up with said requests, if necessary;nn- Preparing Final Reports to the lenders and change of ownership letters to the municipality and condominium/management company once the transaction is complete;nn- Responding to client inquiries and handling routine tasks independently;nn- Occasionally preparing client real estate files from start to finish.nnSkills and Requirements:nn- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and independently with minimal supervision;nn- Strong organizational and time management skills;nn- Ability to prioritize work, follow instructions and adhere to strict deadlines;nn- Working knowledge of business and legal software including: PC Law, Teraview, Unity (formerly Conveyancer), MS Word and Excel;nn- Working knowledge of legislation relevant to the Real Estate practice area, such as the Land Titles Act, Registry Act, Land Registration Reform Act and the Planning Act;nn- Willingness to learn new processes and adhere to them;nn- 1 to 2 years’ experience with residential real estate is an asset;nn- Completion of legal assistant or office administration program is a requirement.nnSalary commensurate with experience.nnKindly submit your resume and cover letter via the Indeed website.nnContract length: 12 monthsnnJob Types: Full-time, Temporary...
